On September 18, 2017, the Stratford Festival will honour one of Canada’s most popular stage and television actors – Eric McCormack.

Best known for his role as Will Truman on NBC’s Emmy Award-winning Will & Grace, Eric spent five seasons here at the Stratford Festival. In that time he appeared in seventeen productions, including Measure for Measure, Cymbeline, Much Ado About Nothing, Mother Courage and Her Children, Murder in the Cathedral and John Neville’s Three Sisters.

Eric’s acting career started on the stages of Canadian theatre. In addition to his time in Stratford, he also appeared in Glengarry Glen Ross and Dracula at Vancouver’s Arts Club Theatre, Burn This and Henry IV at the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, Loot and Salt Water Moon at Theatre New Brunswick, and the original Canadian productions of Biloxi Blues at the Citadel and Royal Alexandra theatres and The Dreamland at Canadian Stage.

His television credits include eight seasons on Will & Grace, Lonesome Dove: The Outlaw Years, The Andromeda Strain (A&E), Trust Me (TNT), Who Is Clark Rockefeller? (Lifetime) and Perception.

Our gala evening honouring this talented Canadian stage and screen actor is one not to be missed.

All proceeds will support the key artistic priorities of the Stratford Festival.
