Elementary and secondary school groups visiting this season can apply for assistance to help with the costs of bus transportation.

If your school would like to apply for subsidy of your bus expenses, please complete the Subsidy Request Form and send it to us with a copy of your bus transportation quote via email or by post to:

Step onto the stage and meet the cast! Have students explore the production's key themes, questions and characters with artists appearing in that afternoon's performance. Prologues are available on selected dates for all Shakespeare productions and To Kill a Mockingbird. $3.75 per student. Prologues begin at 11 a.m. and run until noon before most student matinées.

(Free for participants in the Teaching Shakespeare Program)

Led by Festival teaching artists, these hour-long active sessions can always be created anew or tailored to suit your group's needs and interests.

2018 workshops include:

  • Gender and Sexuality in The Comedy of Errors
  • Song and Dance: The Rocky Horror Show and The Music Man
  • Contemporary Perspectives on a Classic: To Kill a Mockingbird
  • Power and Politics in Coriolanus
  • Julius Caesar: The End of Democracy
  • An Ideal Husband: Manners and Etiquette
  • Stage Combat: Learn the Basics

$11 per student (minimum 15, maximum 30 students)

Workshops can also take place at your school. (An additional travel fee applies.)

(NEW) Reading Week Residency

The Classical Immersion and Audition Prep is an exploration of theatre for post-secondary theatre school students with a focus on acting, text, voice and movement within the classical cannon.  This program is ideal for any student preparing for upcoming auditions and classical work. We are happy to provide private chats for groups with members of the cast after the show. Sessions are 30 minutes long. Cost: $2.50/person, minimum $55 charge plus tax. Limited availability, so send us an email as soon as you book your tickets.
